Original Medicare consists of:
Medicare Part A
Part A generally helps cover eligible inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and certain home health care.
Medicare Part B
Part B generally helps cover medically necessary doctor services, outpatient care, preventive services, durable medical equipment, and certain other medical services.
Original Medicare is the foundation of coverage for many Medicare beneficiaries.
